Infusion is a Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster. It used to be called Traumatizer when it was at Pleasureland Southport, although it was relocated to Pleasure Beach, Blackpool and re-opened on 2 May 2007.
Design[]
Infusion's track is painted blue. The supports are painted dark blue. The cars are standard Vekoma SLC. Large fountains spray water from the man-made lake below. The walkways to and from the ride are painted a shiny metallic colour.
Water[]
Infusion is built entirely over water. The ride uses water jets to soak the riders as they pass through the first drop.
Opening[]
Infusion was opened on 2 May 2007, but it was "officially launched" on 7 June 2007 when Vernon Kay visited Pleasure Beach, Blackpool and rode the ride.[1] There was media coverage of both launchings.
Records[]
- First inverted roller coaster|inverted coaster completely over water.[2]
